CarbonFTP 1.4

A short while ago we took a look at the Neowise Software-developed application CarbonFolder. If you missed it, here’s what you need to know in brief: CarbonFolder is a free Windows folder synchronization tool that comes in handy if you need to keep folders in sync – a folder on your desktop PC with one on your notebook for example, or a folder on your PC and one on a USB drive. This easy to use application will keep the data between two folders synchronized.

We know switch focus to another Neowise Software-developed application that carries the “Carbon” tag, mainly on CarbonFTP. Just like CarbonFolder, this application is also freeware, which means you can use it free of charge for as long as you want and not part with your hard earned money.

Just like CarbonFolder, CarbonFTP weighs in at less than 1MB – the download weighs in at 551KB to be more precise. At such a lightweight download size, it will only take a moment to get the application off the web and onto your computer (even if you have to contend with a less than spectacular internet connection). Personally, I like it when I don’t have to wait a long time for a download to complete.

Just like CarbonFolder, CarbonFTP is a Windows utility that is meant to be used for synchronization purposes. The difference is that CarbonFTP is a file synchronization tool that enables you to sync local files with a remote FTP server (and the other way around). Using CarbonFTP is a straightforward process because the application comes with a step-by-step wizard that you can use to select the folders to be synchronized, the direction of the synchronization and an option to set file masks to limit the transfer to specific file types. You can save your setting as a project and reuse them later on.
